1950 Daily Advertiser (Wagga Wagga) 11 Aug. 3/4 This Gadget Field Day was organised by Hanwood Extension Group, and the scores of gadgets demonstrated ranged from earth-moving machines weighing many hundredweights, to handy little aids of a few ounces.   1953 Advertiser (Adelaide) 4 Sept. 22/2 ‘Gadget Day’ At Barmera… The Barmera branch of the Agricultural Bureau will conduct a field day on October 14, at which gadgets, machinery, spraying plants, and any equipment or contrivance designed to help the man on the land will be displayed.   1960 Sunraysia Daily (Mildura) 18 Feb. 3/2 Joe, as his friends call him, got the idea from a gadget field day three years ago.   1970 Sunraysia Daily (Mildura) 29 June 2/4 The Irymple Gadget Days on July 8 and 9 will feature mechanical harvesting machinery.   1988 Sunraysia Daily (Mildura) 21 May 2/2 The gadget day was initially proposed as a way of gathering growers together in a stimulating environment which would induce the exchange of ideas and inventions.   1991 Advertiser (Adelaide) 18 Sept.
